Early Dismissal from Schools on Fridays

Created by K.H. on March 10, 2014

Here are some benefits of early dismissal on Fridays

1. Most students don't feel motivated to go to school, if there is an early dismissal, they will look more forward to the final day of the week (Friday)
2. Students would have more time at home to get their homework and assignments done so they actually have 2 days weekend and not 1 day off.
3. Some schools have tutoring classes on Saturdays which means some students go to school 6 days a week and get 1 day off which is not enough.
4. Students are not adults and not ready to study 8 hours a day for 5-6 days straight.
5. Early dismissals will allow most students to spend more time outdoors in the daylight.
6. Teachers could take this time to do something different at least 1 day a week such as experiments, tests, games (Jeopardy), etc.
