The ged test is a monopoly that holds people back. People who want to attend tech school or community college should be able to without a ged.let them take brief entrance exam and take a 1hr ged class 2x a week in conjunction with their reg classes. When they earn their certificate or degree they will be awarded the ged at the same time without having to take cumbersome ged test.not only will it save time,but the ged math section causes to much unnecessary failures. Most people only need basic math in real world situations. Comprehension,reading,and English are more important. In the time it takes for a ged,a person can complete courses for hvac,lpn,ekg tech,truck driver,mechanic etc and have a viable career. This should be a federal law that applies in all states.
