The East Sea should be shared as a whole, not owned by one country. Japan invaded Korea with unjustful military actions, where human rights where violated. It is almost tyrannical that Japan almost took over Korea and now is trying to name the sea as their own. As keeping the name as the East Sea allows not just Korea but everyone around the world to understand it as the East Sea, where it is surrounded by the Asian continent. It is right and fair to keep the name as it is. For Japan to petition it to be named as the "Japan Sea" shows signs of territorial dictatorship, which links to the past history of Japan trying to conquer Korea. Instead of Japan establishing the sea as its own, I feel as it is fair for the sea to be named as the East Sea to be accorded amongst the world.
