Economic Distinction Between Greater New York State and New York City / Long Island

Created by Z.W. on November 15, 2012

This is not a petition of secession. We challenge the highest administers of the newly elected 2012 United States government to -

- rethink the congressional districts of New York State

- to reconsider the economic layout of New York, our 3rd most populous state, in order to ease the housing market, reduce property taxes, and reaffirm exactly which parts of NYS have the most dire needs in healthcare, education, unemployment, and infrastructure of our roads and bridges.

- to consider separating Putnam, Rockland, and all counties south of these two including the 5 Boroughs and Long Island, from the remaining counties of New York

- to protect electoral fairness in New York State by outlawing electronic, computerized voting machines in all elections, big or small, for people or for laws
