Previously on a petition Obama turned down the removal of "Under God" from the pledge, and "In God we Trust" from the currency. He excused it as an important part of society and politics. This is not religious freedom, this is the removal of just that. The god being stated here is the Christian god, and thus is denying all other religions from being important. There are many other religions and if it is truly important than do not select one god or any at all. None should be forced to mutter the words god. As both secularists and other religion types should be able to have the freedom of religion and their own non-Christian beliefs.
