Educate instead of Incarcerate: Find new ways to help communities find new ways to fund our high poverty schools.

Created by C.K. on December 16, 2012

The choice we have as a community is to educate or incarcerate. The schools that serve our students in poverty are are most often the ones that are stretched too thin. We have the opportunity to invest in these students helping them break the cycle of poverty and to make them self sustaining productive members of our society. This takes resources, not unfunded mandates. We can either pay a little more now or pay for it all later.
