We feel that before members of Congress can hold any vote on any types of limitations on firearms they be educated as to what they are voting on.
We ask that firearms experts be brought in to educate members of congress on the features and capabilities of different firearms to help them make true determinations as to how they would like to vote on a "assault weapons" ban.
On a regular basis we see and hear members of Congress unable to differentiate types of firearms.
For example calling an AR-15 an automatic rifle which by function and definition it is not.
We feel this is a reasonable request to ask before our rights and freedoms are decided.
