Educate others about Addiction in the field of Psychology. Tax dollars can be saved in jail & prison too.

Created by E.L. on February 11, 2016

I am a hard working College Student in our Contemporary American Society today. Psychology fails to mention that addiction is a disease, and is only referred to as a substance abuse problem. Many who are Bipolar are also diagnosed with a substance abuse problem. Though there are no statistics out there of how many people suffer from addiction, it is a part of history we cannot deny. I can say that over half of our population suffers from addiction & over half of the inmates and trustees being held only have a disease (addiction). Few are aware of AA, NA, GA & Al-anon groups. How many people die of liver failure or pancreatitis? The leading cause is Alcoholism. We do not have a drug problem, we have a people problem. One huge part of addiction is learning to accept what we cannot change.
