People need to look up the definitions of both Republic and Democracy and also recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and focus on the words they are saying. Than they can decide for themselves what form of government the United States was. Even though the government created by our Founding Fathers is gone, we still need to pay respect to the nation we once were.
