There's been a lot of terms thrown around in the wake of the Pulse night club shooting. I'd like to petition the government to start a gun education initiative to remove some of this mysticism and fear around guns.
Just because a weapon has a different stock does not make it any more or less capable of firing a round and loosely defined terms such as assault weapon only stands to promote fear in the people.
I'd like for the government to teach people about the basic functions of a modern sporting rifle and the machine gun ban of '86 (Firearm Owners Protection Act) banning the creation and unlawful ownership of an unregistered fully automatic weapon as well as the difference between a fully automatic assault rifle as compared to the civilian sporting semi-automatic rifle.
