Misinformation about Social Security is abundant. In many cases, this misinformation is spread deliberately by politicians who want to cut benefits or privatize the program. Americans who believe the misinformation could be convinced to vote against their own interests and the interests of all of us.
The president and the Social Security Administration should educate Americans about Social Security in a prime time event on one or more TV and radio networks. At least one of those networks should not be a cable network.
