Sikhism is known to be the 5th largest religion in the world.I am a 13 year old female sikh, Navjeet Kaur.Whenever I talk to my friends about my religion, their answer is,"what's that?Is that even a word?"That's what bothers me the most. The "known" 5 religions are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism. As far as I could read…why isn't Sikhism on here? All over the U.S kids are educated about all religions but sikhism.Did you know Sikhs fought in World war 1 and 2, but do people know that?"NO."My question is why don't they.Because of an act of a group of SOME Muslims, Muslims AND Sikhs become the targets. Why isn't it taught in school? Is it really too violent to learn about in school? The mongols invaded the state of Punjab. This has never been mentioned about in school? But why?
