Education on Prevention and the Consequences of Sexual Assault Must be Integrated into the Health Curriculum of Schools

Created by R.C. on December 09, 2016

This petition is created solely in hope of alleviating the shocking statistics of sexual assaults on college campuses in the United States. One in five women are projected to experience a form of sexual assault while in college, with the amount ever-growing. There is currently no informational courses provided to children in school on the effects sexual assault has on people. Since both the perpetrators and victims are students in college, it is logical that steps taken to prevent this form of assault must be enacted in the early years of a child's life. The only way to ensure that a student knows the potential harms of sexual assault is to enforce legislation requiring that all grade schools, middle schools, and high schools teach lessons on the dangers of sexual assault.
