Effectively end the "War on Terror" by repealing Public Law 107-40: Authorization for Use of Military Force

Created by T.M. on March 07, 2014

On 9/14/2001 Congress passed the Authorization for Use of Military Force granting the President the authority "to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons."

This law has been the legal justification for the War on Terror and the unconstitutional and intrusive policies that have come along with it.

President Obama has gone on record to say he supports the repeal of this law, based on the premise that the War on Terror is effectively over.

We are waiting.
