Effects of consuming Marijuana plant on dairy cow milk quality and THC levels.

Created by A.K. on August 15, 2014

It is believed that THC, the psychoactive chemical found in Marijuana, being fat soluble, can find its way into dairy cow milk if the dairy cow are fed the plant material of the Marijuana plant. Switzerland has already banned the feeding of Marijuana plant material to their dairy cows citing the belief that THC will be present within the milk. This causes a serious concern to public health and safety due to the fact that children could unknowingly be consuming THC via milk in their morning cereal or milk carton. A study to determine whether cattle fed a diet of Marijuana plant material should be conducted to determine if this is in fact a possibility.
