The EIN is an identifier of businesses and other organizations that pay taxes on earned income - we need an index.

Without a Lexis/Nexus account or some other pay service, it is difficult for the average citizen to gain information about the responsible parties or agents behind EINs. This should be transparent and easily obtainable information. The federal government is the responsible agency for governing said entities, and should provide a free, easily searchable index of EINs.
