Los Angeles International airport is a landlocked space with no room for growth. This results in mediocre service to the public and the airlines with no possibility of improvement because of airport's confined location.
The airport can be extended or a new one built by reclaiming land from the ocean. There is already an airport in Kansai, Japan built entirely on landfill and the mansion filled man-made islands in Dubai could also serve as examples.
