Either repeal the second amendment to the US constitution or disband the standing army.

Created by I.J. on December 14, 2012

If a citizen militia is necessary for the security of the state, as stipulated by the second amendment, there is no need to maintain a standing army. At present, taxpayers are faced with the costs of maintaining the second amendment and paying for a standing army. Given the current and foreseeable state of the federal deficit, it is no longer possible to sustain both.
