The Second Amendment creates a right to own non-essential, dangerous, deadly, and terrorizing instruments.
America is strong enough, its citizens are smart enough, and we are all mature enough to live within a new definition of "arms" that leaves out the ultra-killing power of guns and explosives. Create gun ownership that is a privilege, as driving, owning a business, as higher education are privileges.
Gun ownership has become too abused, too trampled, and too bloodied to remain a respected, responsible member of the Bill of Rights. We continue to demonstrate to each other that we use guns today not for protecting ourselves and our homes, but instead to terrorize our neighbors and our communities. Please help keep these instruments of death away from abuse and abusive people.
