Nursing Facilities are rapidly becoming property of corporations who do not care about their residents, only the money they bring in. They understaff because no clear number of residents per caregiver/nurse legal limits exist (in most states) and this needs to be remedied. Also a large number of State inspectors are failing because they inspect all facilities at once and during a predictable time period allowing facilities a window of warning to temporarily beef up staff and correct issues temporarily to pass inspections and this should be remedied. The newest trend now is to line the doctor's pockets and cheapen facility cost by having a single doctor who cannot hope to keep up with every resident, be over the entire resident populace, and this needs to done away with.
