Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that world, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We need to rebuild this world, and make it a new unified nation -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth!
