Elected government officials shall only receive a salary of $1 per year of service with no benefits until the national debt is reduced to under eight trillion dollars. Until this point elected officials shall receive a salary equal to an average american income for the next five years to insure stability of debt. Concluding this point national debt will be a basis on any raise or benefit increase only occuring once every five years and not exceeding a ten percent increase of annual salary. January 1st 2013 should benchmark new debt observation and reduction along with salary and benefit stipulations.
