Elected official pay raises

Whereas: Senators, House Representatives, and Executive officials are elected to represent the people.

And whereas: These elected officials currently have control of their own pay and benefits.

And whereas: Employees have no say in their pay and benefits in any business.

Therefore: It is inappropriate for the elected officials to have control of their own pay raises and benefits.

And therefore: For all pay raises for elected officials, any raises should be put forth and voted on by the officials employers. The tax payers.
