Elected officials are to be paid based on the average income of their constituent base.

In order to make lawmakers responsible for the welfare and prosperity of the people I find it necessary to directly base their income for representing us a direct result of how they govern us. State lawmakers should make the average income of their state. The president should make the average income for the entire United States. If we can live on $20,000 a year then they should be able to as well.....or they can fix what is wrong with America. More money in our pockets equals more money spent and is the base of a strong economy. If we suffer, then let us suffer together, if we grow then let us grow together.
