Two Senators have already declared they are running for President, more will follow. Two Representatives in the House are considering running. A few Governors are also seriously considering running for the office as well.
They will now be campaigning full time for the next 20 months while the people of this country or their states will continue paying them for a job they cannot possibly be doing while on the road running for a new job!
The average citizen rarely has the chance to continue to be paid for their current job while they try to get another one, why should politicians?
I request a new policy that any elected official who wants to run for another office MUST resign their current office so that the people can replace them with a representative who can do the job!
