The Elector role is analyze the "qualities adapted to the station [of president]" and if they are not going to either 'analyze' or vote the popular vote, the Electors must be removed.

Madison of Electors, prevent "an interested and overbearing majority" & the "mischiefs of faction" in an electoral system.
