The electoral college was created because the founding fathers wanted to prevent someone incapable to fufill presidental duties from becoming president. In our society today, we are now advanced enough to prevent that from happening on our own. The electoral college is now preventing the people of the United States from choosing the candidate of their choice for president, which is our right in the U.S Constitution. We are calling for congress to create an amendment in the Constitution to abolish the use of the constitution, and base the elections off of popular vote- the majority of the people. Our vote is our voice. We demand the right to use it.
