The United States greatly needs new transportation systems. Current Systems don't meet the needs of today's transportation nor do they meet future needs. Roads also lack capacity needed and lack efficiency. The railroad network has also shrunken and passenger rail is a rarity at best in many parts of the country. Real unemployment remains at high levels and infrastructure building is needed to help alleviate high unemployment.
