Climate change poses a clear and present danger to the US, not just in the future, but now. In the past, President Obama has championed the notion that aggressive action on global warming can generate energy technology jobs in the US. The White House needs to re-energize these discussions. The President should point out 'deniers' as deniers of the science and technology that made the US great, without which the US will fail economically. We can not afford to lose the renewable energy technology race ...nor can the earth afford us to lose. Solutions such as a revenue neutral carbon tax must be discussed as valid campaign platforms.
