On four occasions, most recently in 2000, the Electoral College system has resulted in the election of a candidate who did not receive the most popular votes in the election. We request that the electoral college be eliminated and let the popular vote be used to determine who is elected. We want our votes to count and with voting being electronic they don't have to be counted as they were at one time. By eliminating the electoral college this would encourage more people to vote knowing that their vote actually counts.
