Eliminate the 10 year deadline for using the Montgomery GI Bill. Allow veterans to use the benefits they paid for.

Created by D.E. on March 30, 2013

The Montgomery GI Bill requires a $1,200 contribution from active-duty members to receive 36 months of full time student benefits. Currently service members have 10 years from their date of discharge to use them.
We would like to remove from law the requirement that Montgomery GI Bill benefits must be used within 10 years after leaving the service. Please make the Montgomery GI Bill never expire.
Allow anyone who has not used their full 36 months of Montgomery GI Bill entitlement another chance to use those benefits regardless of how long they have been out of the service.
