Eliminate the 10-year limit on use of GI Bill benefits by veterans.

Created by D.R. on January 05, 2012

The GI Bill currently requires that education benefits must start being used within 10 years of discharge. Unfortunately, circumstances and choices sometimes do not allow a veteran the opportunity to start school within that time. It is our belief that since veterans have paid with money, time, service, and sometimes with blood, their sacrifices should be respected by giving them the freedom to use their hard-earned benefits when THEY want to, not when the government says they have to use them.

Please change the law and remove the 10-year requirement, and also give veterans who have missed their opportunity in the past another chance to use their benefits.
