Eliminate the Act of Lobbying

Created by S.G. on September 29, 2011

Lobbying is supposed to be a way for unions or citizens to directly influence politicians by donating varying amounts of money in exchange for acquiring time to speak about their issue. Unfortunately this system is abused by corporations to protect their corrupt way of functioning, such as outsourcing and exploiting loopholes to avoid paying taxes.

If we are able to get enough signatures, we can show that its not just the few brave souls protesting on Wall Street that care, it's all of us. This issue is more important than legalizing marijuana, more important than gay marriage, even more important than ending the war, because right now, it's not the people that have power, it's whoever has the most money.
