Student loan debt is a scourge on society that manifests itself in a form of indentured servitude for millions of young Americans. If we want to progress as a society we must remove the sword that hangs over so many of our heads. It is well documented that the fears associated with student loan debt act as a deterrent to millions of Americans who are considering higher education. Since when has the pursuit of knowledge, enlightenment, and self-improvement come with such a punishment? Have we fallen so low that we, as a society, seek to do financial harm to those who merely seek to better themselves and in turn better America?
If America is to continue being the leader in technology, innovation, and forward thinking in the years to come, then the black mark of student loan debt needs
