Eliminate tax exemptions for ALL religious groups and charitable organizations.
It is well documented that the larger groups have millions and billions of dollars in assets that are not being used for the needy.
Additionally, it is well documented that due to the vague tax codes; it is very easy to establish one’s own “church” and receive tax-exempt status that is a waste of every taxpayer’s hard earned money.
The Federal tax dollars that are collected into the general fund comes from ALL types of Americans, many of which are agnostic, atheist, or otherwise non-religious and those groups of tax paying Americans are not receiving any return on their tax dollars from these religious groups and charitable organizations.
The Govt, eg the IRS and Congress, should not be subsidizing religion
