Lawsuits against medical doctors increase the cost of health care by over 30%. They cause doctors to do unnecessary tests, waste inordinate amounts of doctors' and judges' time and require the purchase of expensive malpractice insurance. Even illegal immigrants and drug addicts not paying for their own health care can sue their doctors!
Low class attorneys benefit from the present health care system by leeching off of it with lawsuits and this practice must stop.
Eliminate all lawsuits against doctors and have hospital credential committees and state medical boards empowered to discipline and if necessary to decredential bad doctors, not the courts.
This will save enormous amounts of money, help the struggling federal budget and make the healthcare system much more efficient.
