Our political climate is ravaged in conflict due to warring political parties. The recent government shutdown is proof of that. Today, the government doesn't work for the people but only for themselves. The labels associated with political parties (conservative, progressive, etc.) separate the American people and keep them ill informed of government matters. If the public isn't educated, democracy falls apart as apathy spreads. We must dissolve all political parties to force the American people into reeducating themselves instead of remaining placated with corrupt officials. Furthermore, registry with a political party should not be required to vote or run for president, ensuring that more people can vote and more people can have their ideas heard.
