All monetary and materialistic contributions have no place in a true democracy. The highest bidder should not be allowed to influence laws that our politicians write merely for the sake of profit.
As long as excessive monetary contributions from large organizations keep being funneled to politicians in a position to make or break our democracy, it will continue to break until the point of civil unrest and universal corporatocracy.
