Currently non-US citizens are eligible for pell grants to continue their education. Many of these non-Citizens pay very little taxes, yet they are benefiting from the taxes that citizens pay. With the Pell Grant, they are able to go to college for almost free and many times get thousands of dollars in refund from the grant. Furthermore, there are many US citizens who can not access money for college education (unless of course the student comes from a poor family). I say use the Pell Grant that these non-US citizens have access to give more money to poor and include MIDDLE CLASS students who are seeking a college degree.
The Non-US citizens can still attend college, allow them to pay the in state tuition rate if they meet the residency guidelines and help them have access to loans.
