History has shown the Bill of Rights to be meaningless. The legislative and executive branch of the US government have repeatedly used double-speak to circumvent the protection from tyranny supposedly guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. It has become a Maginot Line protecting the right and liberties of the citizens of the United States. It is now only shadow of its former self and should be put out of its misery along with the torch held aloft by the Statue of Liberty.
We need to be honest, the terrorists won. In one fell swoop, they made us no better than themselves.
