Under the United States Constitution, all citizens are granted the freedom of speech. Yet, this freedom is trampled upon by censors, fanatics, institutions, and organizations. Television is censored, the media is censored, the internet is censored, and people are censored. Some censorship is good and some censorship is useful. Protecting certain secrets and allowing for voluntary self-censorship is encouraged. However, government sanctioned censorship is not right, and it should not exist within the United States. Well call for an end to all required censorship within the United States, and ask that we be allowed to censor ourselves if we should so desire. We also call on the United States government to bring the law to those who would forcefully censor others.
