Children learn how to behave from the stories of their time, and the mass media are today's story-tellers. Children grow up thinking violence is normal, and then there is a greater likelihood that they will respond to problems by acting out in violence. We must help parents protect their children.
This petition calls on President Obama to:
1) immediately implement regulations eliminating distribution of violent video games.
2) control the broadcasting of violent shows and movies across mass media (television, internet, streaming video etc.)
3) create a review board for news media to limit the coverage of mass murders, violent riots, suicide bombings, battle scenes etc.
