Student loan debt has hit an all-time high this past quarter, for the first time trumping credit card debt, car loans, and any other kind of debt from mortgage to investment debt.
Time and time again we have seen the Federal Government spend billions to bail out public businesses within the banking and investment world, the auto-industry, and even companies in the private sector.
If the government were to forgive federal debt on a nationwide level it would allow for millions of former and current students currently immersed in debt to feel financial freedom and independence, and would stimulate economic growth and strengthen an already weak middle class.
A $20,000 Grant given to future students, upon acceptance to obtain a degree, would provide financial stability for their future.
