Eliminate the Common Core Program. We do not need "new" math that teachers, parents nor children fully understand.

We understand that states have the option to opt-out of the common core program. However, it is hard for the people to influence agency officials. For example, in Illinois the State Senate urged the Board of Education to opt-out of the Common Core. The people of Illinois have already influenced their elected officials but to no avail. Parents, teachers, and children alike do not fully understand this "new" math. Please eliminate the Common Core funding completely and allow the "old" math to prevail.
