The "Common Core" system that is being implemented in schools is too generic and not a good way of teaching children. The Common Core is not about the individual child anymore, it's all based on scores and testing. It doesn't allow much room for creativity and exploration of different topics and ideas; its making kids all "think" the same. Every child is different. Some are more academically smart, some are more artistic. Kids should not be treated the same; every child is different, and the Common Core doesn't recognize this, and doesn't encourage the joy and excitement of learning new things.
