Eliminate congress and establish a direct democratic legislature where voters act as their own representatives.

In America, there are roughly 600,000 Americans for every senator and representative. Someone representing so many people can only reflect the views of the people they represent in the most general way. Worse yet, only a republican or a democrat stands a chance of winning a congressional seat, so voters can only choose between the lesser of two evils. Popular opinions are regularly ignored in favor of republican or democratic ideology that few people completely agree with. It's time to get rid of congress and put the power in the hands of the people. To establish a true democracy, we must get rid of congress and establish a direct democratic legislature where voters act as their own representatives. Any congressman who supports this will receive a lifetime pension.
