We have heard it all. Our lawmakers demanding we need a more responsible and balanced budget. Recently, we just seen the Bipartisan Budget Agreement pass claiming it will save our federal government $63 billion dollars in what is claimed as discretionary spending for FY 2014. We are a nation with a $17 trillion dollar debt and the pains that our Congress wants to impose on social security, military, and other services fails to look at the overall impact that our Congress itself has on our federal budget. The overly generous benefits of Congressional retirements after they've served two to four years is simply not necessary, especially given all the perks and kickbacks Congress receives from lobbyists and from their own personal business ventures. Congress needs to show responsibility.
