IMF and World Bank's policies are forcing third world countries like Mali to specialize in agricultural production. It is of particular importance to many less developed countries that depend to a large extent on cotton exports to sustain their growth. American unfair subsidies to its cotton industry are squeezing out the most vulnerable people in this world and they must be eliminated. It is unacceptable to force third world countries to abide to free trade rules which are dangerous for their development, and not follow them being the most wealthy nation in the world. Aid help does nothing compared to what subsidy elimination is proved by many research to do. It is time for change and 'Yes we can' should be for all the people in the world, not just for those who always could.
