Eliminate the current cap on wages or salary eligible for Medicare/Social Security taxation.

Created by A.M. on September 04, 2012

Current law caps the amount of salary or wages that are eligible for taxation for Medicare and Social Security at slightly above $100,000/yr. By eliminating this cap, these programs could be maintained at or above their current level of benefits. Furthermore, the solvency of these programs would be ensured while an element of fudamental fairness is restored.
