While daylight savings is beneficial for allowing more hours of usable daylight, it is a nightmare for parents of small children. Twice each year, parents can unnecessarily expect their children's sleeping patterns to be negatively altered with children waking either far too early, or sleeping too late. Daylight Savings time should simply be the standard and the twice yearly adjustments to the clock should be eliminated.
